Jordan Kaya grew up training in dance in St. Louis, MO. Through her youth she had the opportunity to train and work with companies such as the Missouri Ballet Theatre, Wildwood Dance, and Ashleyliane Dance Company. Jordan has been choreographing, dancing, and creating visuals professionally since the age of thirteen.
In her teenage years she had the opportunity to choreograph studio competition and concert pieces all over the Midwest resulting in receiving over twenty-five awards and acknowledgments for her choreography regionally and nationally, such as the Young Choreographer’s Award from Dance America and the Nancy Stone Award presented by Nancy Stone.
After graduating highschool from Grand Center Arts Academy, she moved to Kansas City and became a full fledged member of TigerStyle! Crew, a national dance crew and brand based out of Kansas City. In TSC! she has had the ability to teach nationwide on their Diversify Your Style! Tours, perform in their full length shows, and receive extensive training in foundation, technique, and artistry. She has since shown her concert pieces in NYC at the Young Choreographer’s Festival, curated her own choreography showcases, been seen in music videos & commercials, directed short films, and has traveled the country working with young artists.
Kaya believes every student has a valid story to tell and gives her classes to those untold stories. Jordan believes artistry is not something to teach, but to reveal within the student.
