Originally from Davenport Iowa, I grew up around a family that engrained the arts into me. My family has always been musical. My grandparents, parents, sister, all have deep routes dealing with music and the arts.

Growing up music was always a passion. From early morning band practice (I play trumpet), to all morning choir classes, my entire time in high school was spent in the arts. After school I was a part of several musicals. I was in; The Music Man, Camelot, and Carnival. I spent the rest of my time in several choir groups. I was in Acapella, Show Choir, Jazz Choir (this was also acapella), Concert Choir, and also sang in the church praise band at Our Savior Luthern Church in Bettendorf Iowa. I played piano for 16 years (haven’t played in about that long as well).

During my college years I attended Luther College for my freshmen year and was in the all mens choir called The Norsemen. When I left I cam home and sang with the Augustana Choir for 3 years during their yearly performance of Handel’s Messiah.

In 2005 I married Jessica. Together we are raising 6 wonderful children who all are love music and dance.

Today, music is still a part of our lives as now we are teaching our children all we can about music history and how music has evolved and changed through the decades. We are a family that loves musicals, (movies and broadway) and always have some type of music playing.

We are always active now as they are all involved deeply in The Studio as well as their music programs with their schools. This keeps us moving and always active. The children all have their different activities, band, choir, orchestra, but the one thing we all share, is The Studio. This our family and our tribe.
