Mikaelee Behen began dancing at age 9 training primarily in jazz, tap, ballet, and contemporary. In high school, she was a member of the Oak Park Pommies and began dancing at The Studio Liberty Dance and Glee in 2012. During her time at The Studio, Mikaelee was on the competition team and was a member of the junior staff. She completed an internship at The Studio in 2016 where she began to learn more behind the scenes work. Through this opportunity she found her love of costuming.

She attended Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, Missouri and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design and a minor in Dance in May of 2020. In school, she worked in the university’s costume shop and made costumes for many large scale productions from Mary Poppins to Rocky Horror Picture Show. Mikaelee is excited to return home and rejoin her studio family and will be teaching ballet, tap, and lyrical.
