Marleina began her dance training at the age of 5, at a small studio in the Blue Ridge Mall and an after school program in Elementary school.  The teacher for the after school program danced for the Westport Ballet school. She suggested Marleina go there. Westport Ballet is where she fell in love with Ballet. There she danced in many original works for the school and company.

At 16 she moved on the study at the Kansas City Ballet.  At 21 moved to New York to train with Alvin Ailey Dance School, And Dance Theatre of Harlem. Marleina has taught for many studios in Kansas City including the Kansas City Chapter Alvin Ailey.

Marleina Works for a property management company, and the Dance Shoppe. She has a 13 year son Kevon. This is her second season with The Studio.
