Mandy began taking lessons at the age of three at LaVerne Meier School of Dance in Overland, MO. Her classes included tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, pom and tumbling. In addition to her dance lessons, she kept busy in high school on the Jr./Sr. High Dance Squad where she led the team as Co-Captain her Senior year. During her time on the dance squad she was selected at a summer dance camp by the Universal Dance Association (UDA) to participate in the London Varsity Tour, which included performing in the New Year’s parade in Paris, France. After high school, her love for dance continued; to enjoy leisure time away from her studies she took classes and performed in dance productions through the Theatre and Dance Department at Missouri State University.
After finding The Studio LDG at the 2012 Liberty Fall Festival, she enrolled her daughter in classes and has been incredibly impressed since! Most recently, in 2016-2017, she was thrilled to see her son join in the awesome boys’ program…taking his first hip hop class! Mandy joined the adult class in the 2013 – 2014 season and has enjoyed every moment back in the classroom. In 2014, she was invited to be part of the Senior Staff, and has enjoyed working alongside the incredibly talented and fun staff. Mandy is excited to be a part of the students’ growth in the classroom and seeing kiddos fall in love with dance!
Mandy keeps busy with her work and family. She is currently employed at Missouri Housing Development Commission, which is dedicated to the development and preservation of affordable housing in Missouri, and preventing and ending homelessness. She loves music, reading and taking vacations; but mostly, she enjoys spending time with her husband Mike, daughter Cora (7 years old), and son Blake (4 years old).
